Filterspülwasser-Behandlung : Kostendeckend, umweltschonend und sicher?

2006
During the treatment of water for drinking water purposes by filtration processes, a part of the obtained drinking water has to be used for filter backwashing. A cross-flow microfiltration process was implemented and scientifically examined to allow the reuse of filter backwash water as well as the minimization of the sludge volume produced. Besides the assessment of the treatment process and the operational safety, the selectivity of the membrane was investigated applying epifluorescence-microscopy. Due to its high recovery rate, the low consumption of chemicals and the possibility to reuse or recycle the residues, the proposed system makes sense on both counts: cost savings and environmental sustainability.
