The present invention, entitled "Process for producing bifidogenic saccharides from hemicelluloses of Pinus pinaster ?, wood claims a procedure for the production, purification and application products of hemicelluloses pinewood, obtained by partial hydrolysis chemically in an aqueous medium. the processing steps include extraction (optional) solvent or water under conditions which do not cause significant degradation of the hemicelluloses, hydrothermal wood processing or the resulting solid phase from the above extraction ( to convert glucomannan saccharide polymeric or oligomeric nature, which are the object of this invention), and purification (optional) of these products by physical or chemical-physical methods. the use of the fractions containing saccharides derived glucomannan is claimed as food ingredients with pro bifidogenic pieties applicable in human nutrition and animal nutrition.
