Process for forging I-shaped part

2008
The invention discloses a process for forging an I-shaped part, which mainly comprises the following steps: (1) forging a cylindrical blank into a rectangular blank with a cross section of 80 mm * 38 mm; (2) cutting and blanking with a band saw according to the weight of a forge piece to be forged; (3) forging the head part of the I-shaped part and the transition site of the head part and the rod part of the I-shaped part with forming die, and distributing the blank; (4) forming the rod part with the forming die; and (5) placing the force piece into a sizing die, clamping down, erecting the die, forging to ensure the flatness of the internal two surfaces, laying the die flat, and forging to ensure the size. The invention provides a local forging method with the forming die. The two internal surfaces of the forged I-shaped structural part can meet the strict requirements for parallelism and flatness. The forged part is as-forged, i.e. not subjected to machining after forging.
