Meeting the educational needs of women with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).

e20580 Background: In 2013 Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) began a comprehensive needs assessment of women with TNBC. Methods: LBBC fielded an online 80-question survey from November 25, 2013-January 10, 2014 to determine specific education and support needs and preferences of women with TNBC. Women with other breast cancer subtypes were included to allow for comparison; subtypes were self-reported. Survey respondents were asked to rate their interest as “not very interested,” “somewhat interested,” or “very interested” in 35 topics. Responses were compared by TNBC status, with p-values adjusted using the false discovery rate (FDR). Results: A total of 2,610 responses from women diagnosed after 2006 were analyzed: 656 (25.1%) identified as TNBC and 1,954 (74.9%) as non-TNBC.
