Direct Torque Control for Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives Based on Feedback Linearization

This paper proposes a new method of the direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The theory of feedback linearization is introduced, which will enable the original system to realize input-output linearization control. The analysis for conditions of the control system to realize feedback linearization was conducted and the control model of the system was given. The control method and the traditional direct torque control system were contrasted under the simulation, the result showed that the design based on feedback linearization of permanent magnet synchronous motor direct torque control system can effectively reduce the pulsation on torque and flux and it has ideal dynamic and static performances.
