For Agroecology to establish itself as a science, there must be pillars for the construction ofa pedagogical environment; one of the great challenges of Agroecology courses in the country.Therefore, it was fundamental to develop an Area of action for students, aiming to valueand to potentiate pedagogical intentions in their various purposes and achievements. For thispurpose, the Degraded Areas Recovery Workshop (RAD) was offered at the AgroecologicalReference Unit (URA) of the Field Education and Agroecology Movement (MECA). The MECAbegan in 2009 and has always been conducted through the self-managed organization. Currently,the movement relies on the accumulation of experiences in agroecological research ofa social and political nature. The strategic premise of the Movement is to work not only in theUniversity but also in the settlements and peasant communities of the Brejo region of Paraibato sow the unveiling and expansion of Agroecology as a science.
