b 1Σ+ Emissions from group V–VII diatomic molecules. b 0+→X10+, X2 1 band systems of AsCl and AsBr
1984
Abstract Chemiluminescence of the b 0 + →X 1 0 + , X 2 1 band systems of AsCl and AsBr in the near-infrared spectral region has been observed in a discharge-flow system. Analysis of the spectra led to the spectroscopic constants (in cm −1 ) for AsCl: ω e (X 1 , X 2 ) = 424 ± 6, T e (X 2 1) = 140 ± 8, T e (b 0 + ) = 12573 ± 10, ω e (b 0 + ) = 443 ± 8: and for AsBr: ω e (X 1 , X 2 ) = 316 ± 6, T e (X 2 1) = 193 ± 8, T e (b 0 + ) = 12313 ± 10, ω e (b 0 + ) = 329 ± 6. The intensity ratio of the b → X 2 and b → X 1 subsystems was found to be ≈1.4 for AsCl and ≈0.05 for AsBr.
