Siemens 24 GHz radar - blind spot detection

Driver assistance systems increase in importance for the automotive industry. This document describes a blind spot detection system based on cost efficient 24GHz radarutechnology. The system has been developed by Siemens VDO Automotive from 2004 to 2006 and will be in series production in 2007. The application and the radar technology on which it is based are described.
