Method for decolorizing and deodorizing polyhydric alcohol

According to embodiments, the present invention relates to a method and system for bleaching and deodorizing a polyhydric alcohol, said method comprising preparing a blending liquid containing a first polyhydric alcohol obtained by a separation process. The mixing liquid is subjected to a distillation treatment to preclude substances having different colors and odors in order to generate a pretreatment liquid. The pretreatment liquid is subjected to an adsorption treatment. The present invention makes it possible to improve the removal efficiency of substances having different colors and odors, thanks to a combination of the distillation treatment and the adsorption treatment.
