A Study on the Densification Laws of Rotary Forging Sintered Powder Compacts and an Analysis of the Properties of the Compacts

In this paper, the densification laws of rotary forging sintered powder compacts have been researched by the orthogonal experimental method and regression analysis.The result shows that the H/D ratio and the rotary forging force are major factors affecting the degree of densification in the process of rotary forging sintered powder compacts. By further detailed experiments the laws of the degree of densification affected by the H/D ratio and the rotary forging force are discovered. By determining the properties of compacts, it is found that the density distribution is as inhomogeneous as the hardness distribution. The density distribution shows no difference from the hardness distribution.
