MATERIALS AND METHODS Gibberellin (GA)specific, high-affinity monoclonal antibodies havebeenusedtoassaytheGAcontent ofvarious plant tissues andtopurify selected GAsbyimmunoaffinity chromatography. Theseimmunological techniques maynotstandalone asageneralmethodofGAanalysis. Theresults ofthis studyindicate, however, thatinconjunction withgaschromatography-mass spectrometry forpositive GA identification, radioimmunoassay andimmunoaffinity chromatography areextremely powerful tools forpurifying andquantifying GAsfromplant tissues.
