The present invention relates to a process for producing butylene, mainly solves the prior art has low selectivity butylene oxide, the problem of short life of the catalyst. By using the present invention comprising the steps of: a) synthesis of hydrogen peroxide cumyl peroxide solution; b) control over the weight percentage of cumene hydroperoxide in the oxidizing solution is not more than 0.3% of organic acid, an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal ion weight percentage of not more than 0.1% weight percent of water is not more than 0.5%; c) cumene hydroperoxide was mixed with butylene oxide in the catalyst is, under liquid phase conditions to generate butylene and α, α- dimethylbenzyl alcohol; d) α, α- dimethylbenzyl alcohol with hydrogen cumene hydrogenolysis reaction in the presence of a catalyst; produced cumene is recycled to step a) as prepared through cumene hydroperoxide feedstock aspect, solves the problem, it can be used for the commercial production of epoxy butane.
