A Histological Study of Some Mucilaginous Seeds

A description of the morphology and histology of the seeds of Kentucky coffeetree, thornless honey locust, and sweet basil is given. Mucilage is located in the endosperm of the first two seeds, and in the epidermis of the seed coat of the third.
