Reducing the Number of Phase Shifters in Circular Arrays of Circular Subarrays for a Wide-Scanning Pattern

This paper presents a design of circular arrays of circular subarrays for reducing the number of phase shifters (PSs) considering a wide-scanning pattern using the rotational symmetry properties of the array geometry. The array design model includes the optimization of the amplitude and phase excitations for each subarray with minimum side lobe level SLL and maximum directivity.
