A Pump System for Collecting Mosquito Larvae from Shallow Ground Pools (Diptera: Culicidae)

Using a simple pump and sieve arrangement, large numbers of mosquito larvae were collected from ground pool habitats in a brackish marsh. In excess of 12,000 Aedes vigilax (Skuse) larvae were collected in a 36-h period using this method.
