TRABALHANDO PRIMEIROS SOCORROS COM CATADORES DE UM ATERRO CONTROLADO

The aim of the study was to train the collectors about the necessary procedures in front of victims affected by PCR and injuries in the controlled landfill. Method: The research is a qualitative, applied, educational-type approach. Results: On the day of the first intervention, a conversation was made to find out what the scouts have about first aid, to know what they would do if an injury or a cardiac arrest occurred. Following up on the activities, a conversation about injuries was made, the necessary actions were taken to assist in injuries, more common cuts among workers, accidents with punching material, fractures, what to do to avoid infection. In all activities there was little participation of the members. Conclusion: Based on the results of this professional intervention project, the training was of great value, and it is also important to continue carrying out activities with them, thus promoting health education.
