espanolEn las ultimas decadas ha aumentado la incidencia de alergias e intolerancias alimentarias, asi como la percepcion por parte de los pacientes de que algunos alimentos son responsables de los sintomas que presentan a nivel digestivo principalmente, pero tambien cutaneo, respiratorio, etc. De aqui nace una gran variedad de supuestos tests diagnosticos de intolerancias alimentarias, comercializados y disponibles sin necesidad de prescripcion por parte de un profesional, que pueden conllevar a la poblacion a adoptar dietas muy restrictivas, incorrectas y no saludables. Es por esto, que desde el Grupo Andaluz de Trastornos Funcionales Digestivos (GATFD) de la Sociedad Andaluza de Patologia Digestiva (SAPD) y el Colegio Profesional de Dietistas-Nutricionistas de Andalucia (CODINAN), hemos elaborado un documento de posicionamiento sobre la ausencia de idoneidad de dichos tests a la vez que senalamos aquellas pruebas con respaldo cientifico para el diagnostico de alergias e intolerancias alimentarias actualmente disponibles. EnglishIn recent decades, the incidence of food allergies and intolerances has increased, as well as patients' perception that some foods are responsible for the symptoms they present mainly at digestive level, but also at cutaneous, respiratory, etc. level. This is the origin of a great variety of supposedly diagnostic tests for food intolerances, marketed and available without the need for a prescription by a professional, which can lead people to adopt very restrictive, incorrect and unhealthy diets. For this reason, the Andalusian Group of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders (GATFD, Grupo Andaluz de Trastornos Funcionales Digestivos) of the Andalusian Society of Digestive Diseases (SAPD, Sociedad Andaluza de Patologia Digestiva) and the Professional Association of Dieticians-Nutritionists of Andalusia (CODINAN, Colegio Profesional de Dietistas-Nutricionistas de Andalucia ) have written a paper showing their position in relation to the lack of suitability of some of these tests and have also pointed out currently available tests with scientific backing for the diagnosis of food allergies and intolerances.
