The invention provides a tire wear preventing control method for a following axle of a three-axle passenger car. A control device for implementing the control method comprises entire instruments, a following axles controller, a following axle relay, a following axle electromagnetic valve and a following axle cylinder; the control method is characterized by comprising the following steps: the forward speed of the whole car is acquired and conditional judgment is performed on the speed, when the actual speed is greater than or equal to a turning prohibiting speed or in a back-up state, the following axle is locked against turning, and when the actual speed is smaller than the turning prohibiting speed, the following axle is not locked and capable of turning in a following manner. The following axle is locked by the following axle cylinder, so that a following axle tire can be protected against wear due to relative sliding when the whole car goes forward or backs up; when the actual speed is smaller than the turning prohibiting speed, the following axle is not locked so that the wear of the following axle tire during turning can be reduced.
