Effect of magnetic field on the transport properties of heavy electron compounds CeCu6-x 6-x Cdx x
2005
We report the low-temperature resistance under a magnetic field (μ0 0 H=0, 5 and 10T) within the temperature range from 18 to 300K and low temp erature (T=19 and 15K) magneto_resistance (μ0 0 H=0—10T) of hea vy electron compounds CeCu6-x 6-x Cdx x (x=010,015 ,020,0 30,050). The experiments show that the Tmax max (correspondin g to the max imal resistance)of all samples are not observed over 18K under zero magneti c field. When a magnetic field is applied, the Tmax max increases with inc reasing magnetic field and doping content x. Meanwhile, the magneto_resista nces are all negative at 19K and the positive magneto_resistance of part of samples is observed at 15K. This phenomenon can be explained by Kondo scatteri ng and coherent scattering.
