The Carbon Fiber Industry in Korea

The Korean government has been driving the 5th five year economic development plan since 1982, which includes the development of five major fields of scientific technologies. In order to perform this plan successfully, we have to prepare lots of industrial raw materials. But Korea is lacking in natural sources and must develop some new industrial materials continuously. Therefore, developing the special structural materials is one of these fields, and the carbon-fiber-reinforced composite materials have the most important place.
