A revised key to the avian subgenera of Plasmodium Marchiafava & Celli, 1885 (Apicomplexa)

A revised key to avian subgenera ofPlasmodium is presented following the transfer to this genus of the subgenusPlasmodioides Gabaldon, Ulloa & Zerpa, 1985 fromFallisia, a recognised synonym ofPlasmodium.
