Double-frequency double-circularly-polarized antenna based on arc chirality manual structure material

2013
The invention provides a double-frequency double-circularly-polarized antenna based on an arc chirality manual structure material. The chirality manual structure material is loaded in a traditional polarized horn antenna as a coverage layer of the antenna, wherein the chirality manual structure material can respectively convert incident linear polarization waves into a left-hand circular polarization wave and a right-hand circular polarization wave respectively at two frequency bands and consequently, the double-frequency double-circularly-polarized antenna is formed. The chirality manual structure material is composed of a medium substrate and two layers of arc metal wires which are printed on the two sides of the medium substrate in a periodic mode. According to the double-frequency double-circularly-polarized antenna based on the arc chirality manual structure material, under the condition that few antenna gains are reduced, a traditional linear polarization horn antenna is transformed into the circularly-polarized antenna. In addition, circular polarization waves with different rotation directions are output at two resonance points and the conversion efficiency is approximately 90%.
