Electron Capture in Strong Electron Screening

The influence of electron screening on electron capture in massive stars at the presupernova stage is discussed. The strong screening potential devierd by linear response theory is used in the discussion. It is showed by calculating the capture rates for 56Co, 56Fe and 56Mn that the effect of the electron screening on electron capture in the paper is slightly smaller than it in previously analysis. However, the effect of the electron screening on electron capture is still obvious.
