The invention relates to a device and a method for improving the high-temperature display effect of an LCD (liquid crystal display). The device comprises functional glass and an LCD, wherein the functional glass and the LCD are adhered together through an optical adhesive layer, and extension substrates are arranged on the periphery of substrate glass of the LCD. According to the device and the method for improving the high-temperature display effect of the LCD, sizes of the substrate glass of the LCD and the functional glass attached to the surface of the substrate glass are enlarged, so that the high-temperature display mura defect is transferred outside an effective display area, that is, the high-temperature display mura defect is transferred to the enlarged position of the substrate glass and the functional glass of the LCD, the position is a high-temperature optical adhesive layer stress accumulation area, and with the adoption of the scheme, the high-temperature display mura defect in the effective display area is indirectly eliminated.
