Economic utilization of organic and inorganic sources of nutrient and their response to yield and yield attributes of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Field study conducted at Students Instructional Farm (S.I.F.) of C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur during Rabi 2015-16 to know the suitable combinations of these sources. Results showed that application of RDF+ Azotobacter + Vermicompost @ 5.0 t ha–1 produced significantly better yield contributing characters like total tillers per m2 (490.29), productive tillers per m2 (271.24), unproductive tillers m2 (219.05), length of spike (9.67 cm), number of grain per spike (45.79), grain weight spike (2.45 g), and 1000 seeds weight (43.93g) besides producing highest grain yield (5557 kg ha–1) and net return (Rs. 67094 ha–1) in comparison to control and all other treatments.
