Clinker production consists of complex processes, which involve physical and chemical processes simultaneously. PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero), Tbk. is a cement industry with one of its stages, namely clinker production in the kiln area. Therefore, this study aims to analyze occupational safety and health risks during the production process in the kiln area of PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero), Tbk. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques in the form of interview guidelines, observation sheets, and company documents. Data were analyzed using the bowtie method. Informants are five people who are related to the production process in the kiln area, directly or indirectly. There are two potential dangers with a high level of risk, namely hot dust and heat. Risk analysis carried out shows that uncontrolled hot dust can come out of the system with one of the causes, namely the explosion caused by incomplete combustion that can cause impacts in the form of burns. Uncontrolled heat can cause heat to increase with one of the causes, namely excess fuel which can cause impacts such as healt related illness. Preventive controls are carried out, namely routine inspections. Mitigation controls are carried out, namely light signals. Escalation factors that can thwart the control of hot dust and heat, namely raw meal deformation. Control of escalation factors, namely the application of work instructions. PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero), Tbk. has implemented preventive controls to control potential causes of hazards and mitigation controls to control the manifestation of hazards so as not to cause or exacerbate impacts as a form of risk management during the production process in the kiln area.
