Effects of fosinopril and enalapril on QT dispersion and QT corrected dispersion in patients with acute myocardial infarction

2002
Aim:To explore the effects of fosinopril and enalapril on QT dispersion(QTd) and QT corrected dispersion(QTcd) in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:Eighty three patients with AMI were randomized into conventional treatment group ( n =23), enalapril treatment group (conventional treatment plus enalapril 5mg.twice a day, n =32) and fosinopril treatment group (conventional treatment plus fosinopril 10mg,once a day, n =28).Results:①The QTd and the QTcd in conventional treatment group had no significant changes before treatment and 8 weeks after treatment.②The QTd in enalapril treatment group before and after treatment 8 weeks was 80.7±36.8,59.7±29.1, respectively, P 0.05; the QTcd in enalapril treatment group were 89.6±38.8,69.1±35.0 respectively before and after 8 weeks treatment, P 0.05. The QTd in fosinopril treatment group before and after treatment 8 weeks was 78.3±29.5,61.4±35.6,respectively, P 0.05; the QTcd in fosinopril treatement groups was 92.5±41.2,71.3±28.1, respectively before and after treatment 8 weeks, P 0.05. There was no significant difference in QTd and QTcd between enalapril treatment group and fosinopril treatment group, P 0.05.Conclusion:Either fosinopril or enalapril can decrease the QTd and the QTcd in patients with AMI,but there is no significant difference in QTd and QTcd between enalapril and fosinopril.
