Contrast agent enhanced fluorescence imaging for early detection of arthritis

Fluorescence imaging in the near-infrared range following intravenous administration of contrast agents has been investigated as a new tool for detection of inflammatory joint diseases. Our study reveals that NIR dyes accumulate in inflammatory joints.
