Coding and Precertification Strategies for Nasal Surgery

Program Description:In the setting of decreased reimbursements and increased insurance denials, wading through the world of current procedural terminology (CPT) coding for nasal surgery can be challenging. This interactive miniseminar will discuss appropriate coding for nasal surgeries, clarifying the differences between rhinoplasty, vestibular stenosis repair, septoplasty, and turbinate surgery, and discuss indications for precertification. Individual speakers, well versed in the world of nasal surgery, will share strategies in documentation, patient counseling, and navigating appeals.
