Fístula biliobronquial manejada mediante cirugía laparoscópica. Informe de un caso

2001
Objective: Present the case of a 75 years old male who developed a bronchobiliary fistula of unknown etiology that was solved by endoscopic surgery. Design: Case report. Host: Private and institutional hospitals of a second level attention. Case 1: 75 years old male that is admitted to the hospital presenting biliptisis, chronic cough of several days of evolution, besides a general status attack and a metabolic decompensation, the patient is a peasant with many years of drinking “pulque” (Mexican traditional drink) and also history of diabetes mellitus. The patient is submitted to laboratory tests, basic and advanced X-rays. A nuclear cholangiogram was performed which confirms the clinical suspicion. The patient was programmed for minimum access surgery, with excellent results and no complications. The patients progress satisfactory and egress 24 hours after the surgical procedure having continuous controls by external consultation. We consider that the endoscopic approach for this type of cases is a good surgical option when the possibility of endoscopic or image resolution have been rejected.
