Study on Multilingual Glossary System toward International Space Station Module Operation pPhase

We expect that communications between countries will be more active in the field of the International Space Station (ISS) which will go into the practical operation phase in future. Therefore, for the purpose of precise communications between countries and enlightenment of space development, we have studied about Multilingual Glossary System that a range of IAA Multilingual Space Dictionary had been extended to ISS and fields of space utilization sciences. This time, in order to study user interface, we developed ISS Glossary and released it on the internet. We conducted a questionnaire survey at the same time to assess ISS Glossary. While, we received good results of the questionnaire on user interface and understandability of terms, it became apparent that there are points to have to be improved. Besides, we learned that we would need to go through review over database management system. Furthermore, we reviewed specifications and operation structure of Multilingual Glossary System. In order to bring to fruition, international cooperation is inevitable. Therefore, we propose to set up a working group in IAF to discuss Multilingual Glossary System internationally.
