Studies on the chemical constituents of folium Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et Wils.

OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of folium Magnolia officinalis Rehd.et Wils..METHODS Isolation and purification were carried out on silica gel column.The constituents were identified by physico-chemical properties and structurally elucidated.RESULTS 7 compounds were identified.They were palmitone,arachidic acid,1-hexacosanol,β-sistosterol,daucosterol,quercitrin and rutin.CONCLUSION They were all obtained from this specie for the first time.
