High Temperature Analysis and Treatment of Water Guide Bearing on No.2 Unit in Liuxihe Hydropower Plant

The high temperature of water guide bearing on No.2 unit of Liuxihe Hydropower Plant is not be properly solved as expected after several treatments.In order to solve the problem,it is decided to have the units thoroughly overhauled in advance of plan.The structure of water guide bearing and the basic operation of No.2 unit are introduced.All previous treatments for the high temperature of water guide bearing are described.Referring to previous treatment situation,the overhaul emphasizes the check on the thrust head,snap ring and guide bearing restricting the force of rotating shaft,which can lead to shaft alignment changes of the units.At last,it's found that water guide bearing temperature rise is caused by the loose snap ring and thrust head as well as low hardness of compressive gasket of the lower guide bearing.Aiming at the problem found,the high temperature of water guide bearing is throughout solved.
