Computed Tomography of the Brain in the Diagnosis of and Prognosis in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

1989
Thirty-eight patients aged 64±10 (mean±SD) years were based on characteristic clinical symptoms, “positive” changes at radionucleid cisternography CT and CSF-tap-test diagnosed as normal pressure hydrocephalus. 3–6 months after ventricular peritoneal shunt operation, the patients were re-investigated clinically and by a new CT and CSF examination. 28 patients improved after the operation while 10 were unchanged.
