Magnetic properties of YBa1.8M0.2Cu3O7−y(M = K, Na) superconductors

Abstract The YBa 1.8 M 0.2 Cu 3 O 7− y (M = K, Na) superconductors have been characterized for their structural and magnetic properties. The crystal structure remains orthorhombic, T c does not change substantially, however, the large Meissner effect is observed in the sample with K unlike the one with Na.
