Neuroblastoma of the anterior mediastinum in an adult.

Summary An extremely rare case of anterior mediastinal neuroblastoma in an adult is reported who was treated with surgical excision and postoperative x-ray therapy. Eighteen months following operation there is no evidence of recurrence. The literature is reviewed and this case represents the fifth reported case of neuroblastoma of the anterior mediastinum in an adult, with only 2 cases having been reported in children.
