The Effect of Radis Astragali on the Expression Level of Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1(ICAM-1) in Liver with Alcoholic Liver Disease in Rats

Objective To investigate the effect of Radis Astragali on the expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) in liver with alcoholic liver disease in rats.Methods 36 cases of rats were randomly into three groups:control group,alcoholic liver disease group,alcoholic liver disease treatment group,12 cases in each.The morphological changes and ICAM-1 expression level in liver were observed.Results The expression level of ICAM-1 in alcoholic liver disease group was higher than that in control group(P0.01),the structure of liver tissue was impaired(P0.01).The expression level of ICAM1 in alcoholic liver disease treatment group was lower than that in alcoholic liver disease group(P0.01),the structure injury in the liver tissue was alleviated(P0.01).Conclusion Radis Astragali has satisfactory effect on experimental alcoholic liver disease,the mechanism may be corelated with its inhibition on ICAM-1 in liver tissue.
