Kinetic study using optical methods of structure formation of rubber compositions

1977
Abstract Spectro-turbidimetry and small angle light scattering were used to examine the formation of micro-heterogeneity during the preparation of compositions by polymerization of nonyl acrylate containing dissolved butyl rubber (BR). It was shown that heterogeneity parameters depend on the velocity ratio of polymerization of the monomer and vulcanization of BR and on the formation of mutually penetrating networks of polymer components of the composition.
