T3NxM0 carcinoma of the urinary bladder treated by the combination of radium implant and external irradiation. A preliminary report

1980
Abstract Twenty-eight patients with T 3 N x M 0 carcinoma of the urinary bladder have been treated by a new method: three treatments at 350 rad external irradiation, followed by a radium implant at a reduced dose. Three weeks after the radium implant there was an additional course of external irradiation of 3000 rad in 3 weeks. The preliminary results justify continuing this non-mutilating curative approach.
