Interference effects in the angular distributions of fragments of heavy-nucleus fission induced by thermal and resonance neutrons

1995
The current status of experimental investigations of P-odd and various P-even interference effects in the angular distributions of fragments of heavy-nucleus fission induced by slow neutrons is discussed. Special attention is paid to the discussion of experimental results concerning effects of the violation of space parity in {sup 229}Th, {sup 241}Pu, and {sup 241}Am fission induced by cold polarized neutrons and to the analysis of the energy dependence of P-odd and P-even effects in the angular distributions of fragments of {sup 233,235}U and {sup 239}Pu fission induced by slow neutrons. 22 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab.
