Infection status of blood's Escherichia coli

Objective To investigate the infection status of blood's E.coli,and analyse the incidence rate of Extended spectrum β-Lactamase (ESBLs).Methods To review the isolating rate of blood's E.coli,The ESBLs producing group and the Non ESBLs producing group were named depending on the production of the ESBLs and the risk factors for blood tract infection caused by them. Results A total of 164 strains of E.coli were isolated from blood from Jan to DEC 2011,there were 128 ESBLs-producing strains(78.05%) and 36 non ESBLs-producing strains(21.95%),The drug resistant rate of ESBLs-producing strains to the commonly used antibiotics were significantly higher than that of non ESBLs-producing strains.These strains mainly isolate from the Departments of General Surgery,Haematology Department.etc. Conclusion E.coli is the first strain of the blood's infecting strains,and it is higher incidence of ESBLs,to lead to resistant aggravativly. The traumatic diseases and hematologic diseases are the mainly risk factors.
