Recursive algorithm for phase shifting interferometry using in Fourier domain optical coherence tomography

2016
The object of this paper is to describe a phase step with axial resolution for phase shifting interferometry (PSI) based on recursive algorithm, which can eliminate the DC and autocorrelation terms of Fourier-domain optical coherence tomography (FDOCT). The phase step of this algorithm is equivalent to axial resolution of FDOCT system, which is determined by the wavelength and full width at half maximum (FWHM) of light source. Compared with other PSI algorithm methods, the significant feature of the proposal is that it deeply lowers the demand for the accuracy of reference plane movement, and only one time movement is needed for eliminating DC signals and self-interference signals inside the sample.
