Inter-pulse Phase Coding For MIMO-SAR Imaging

2019
Aiming at the Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), this article proposes an inter-pulse phase coding method which is used to separate the echoes. The coding uses a two-phase code and repeats the coding with the number of antennas as a repetition period, so that multiple pulses can form a system of equations to separate echoes. Then, the echoes with the same equivalent phase center should be adjusted to coherence. Then, Coherent accumulation is performed to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. By recombining the echoes, imaging can be performed. This algorithm can achieve high-resolution imaging. The error is small, but the number of calculation is huge. The simulation analysis verifies the feasibility of the method.
