Method and system for storing trajectory

The invention relates to a method and system for storing a trajectory. One embodiment of the invention provides the method for storing the trajectory. The method comprises following steps: mapping the trajectory to at least one segment of a road network according to multiple positions on the trajectory of the main body; identifying an entry point and a leave point of the segment, wherein the main body starts the movement on the segment from the entry point, and the main body ends the movement on the segment at the leave point; storing the data related to the entry point and/or the leave point so as to store the segment, wherein the segment is a part of the trajectory information. The other embodiment of the invention provides the corresponding system.
