Research on a Typical Connection Mode of Flexible DC Distribution Applied to High Reliability Area

In this paper, the basic modules of distribution network are divided based on reliability calculation demand. From the conventional high reliability power supply mode, a new three-way connection mode with flexible DC loop is proposed creatively, which is suitable for high reliability area with distributed generators(PV, wind turbine) and DC load, and the corresponding operation policy is put forward. Briefly, referring to an improved minimal path set reliability calculation method, the operation transfer situation and influence of distributed generators are counted into the calculation. The connection mode and the calculation method are brought into a practical distribution network, and the double fire and double loop network connection mode are compared and analyzed. It is proved in the paper that the proposed connection mode can improve the system reliability, and well adapt to the developing requirement of the distribution network with distributed generators, energy storage and DC load in the future.
