Controller Design for Networked Control Systems with Active Varying Sampling Period

2009
The problem of designing H∞ controllers for networked control systems with both network-induced time delay and packet dropout was studied by using active varying sampling period method, where the sampling period switched in a finite set.The newly proposed active varying sampling period method could ensure the sufficient use of network bandwidth.A multi-objective optimization methodology in terms of LMIs was proposed to deal with the problem of H∞ controller design for NCSs with active varying sampling period, and the parameter uncertainty-based method was adopted for H∞ controller design. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed H∞ controller design.
