The invention provides a set top box with receiving and processing functions for KA waveband satellite signals. The set top box comprises a KA waveband receiving processing module arranged in the set top box; the KA waveband receiving processing module comprises a receiving front-end for receiving signals with downlink frequencies, a judging module for performing segment processing on the receiving frequencies and judging the number of the local frequency belonging to the current frequency band, and a conversion module for converting a medium frequency, locking the signals and finally outputting a transport stream (TS) according with the MPEG-2 standard, wherein the transport stream is provided for a CPU (central processing unit) to be analyzed. The invention also provides a processing method for the KA waveband signals in the set top box. The KA waveband signal receiving processing module is arranged in the set top box, so the set top box can receive and process KA waveband television signals and can modulate the same, a user can view KA waveband television shows and the television shows are enriched.
