X-ray system and method for image reconstruction

It is an X-ray system (1), in particular computed tomography system (1), for the acquisition of projection data (P11, P12, ..., P1i, P21, P22, ..., P2i) of an examination object (2) above. The X-ray system (1) comprises an X-ray assembly having a number of x-ray radiation sources (3, 3 ') and a number of photon counting detectors (4, 4') with at least two detection thresholds. Here, the X-ray source assembly (3) is adapted to generate X-rays (S1, S2) with at least two x-ray radiation spectra. In addition, the number of photon counting detectors (4, 4 ') is arranged and designed such that they at least through the object (2) penetrating X-ray radiation (S1, S2) energy resolution (as projection data P11, P12, ..., P1i, P21, P22, ..., P2i) detected. In addition, a process (REC) is provided for image reconstruction.
