Izmit endüstriyel ve evsel atiksu aritma tesisi atiklarinin konvansiyonel karakterizasyonu ve değerlendirilmesi

In this study, conventional characterization of wastewaters of "Izmit Industrial and Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant" was investigated. In the study of conventional characterization; grab samples, which were taken monthly during a year, were used. The characteristic of wastewater was observed as varying within a wide range. In total wastewater, COD alues ranging from 580 to 1822 mg.L - 1 . The COD/N/P ratio in wastewater to be a mean value calculated as 272/27/1, is very much different from the ratio commonly accepted as necessary to sustain a healthy biological growth. In conventional characterization, the BOD 5 /COD ratio in wastewater was calculated as 0.20.
