Filter cartridge, in particular for the filtration of liquids, comprising an annular filter medium, in particular a star-shaped folded filter paper (20), wherein at least one of the end faces (34) of the filter medium having an end plate (21) with the aid of a filler, is fixedly connected, and a support tube (19) is provided for the filter medium, which dips with end edges (25) in the filler, wherein the support tube (19) in a region (26) which is in communication with the filler openings (27), wherein one on the support tube (19) side wall adjacent (29) the end plate (21) in radial section a cavity (28) between the supporting tube (19) and sidewall-forming (29) profile and which on a bottom (31) of the end plate (21 ) spacer (32) for the end faces (34) of the filter medium are arranged, and said spacers (32) (in a radial direction by cutouts 33) are broken.
